A spectacular marriage of vintage American craftsmanship and heavy-duty utility. This functional piece of garden art features a solid, hand-cast bronze rabbit valve handle created by the renowned H.W. Axford Foundry of Sebastopol, California. The artisan rabbit handle has been beautifully paired with a commercial-grade, solid bronze/brass outdoor spigot base by Arrowhead Brass & Plumbing (ABP).
The entire piece boasts an extraordinary, authentic aged green verdigris patina earned through decades of open outdoor elements. This oxidation emphasizes the fine sculptural features of the rabbit, from its upright ears down to the fur texturing. The handle stem is clearly stamped "AXFORD", while the heavy-duty water valve body features the structural integrity Arrowhead is celebrated for.
This unique combination is perfect for an upscale cottagecore garden plot, a rustic farmhouse entry, or a curated display collection of architectural salvage and California studio-craft hardware. I love how the bunny looks like Thumper.
