This exceptional authentic pair of mid-century modern "Diabolo" architectural planters were designed by the acclaimed Swiss neo-functionalist Willy Guhl for Eternit in the 1950s-60s. These iconic double cone sculptural planters are heavily sought after with the maker's original imprint clearly visible on the interior walls.
Standing at 38" high, this pair, the largest made, possess a stunning, authentic aged patina with beautiful weathered mineral deposits and mossy texturing earned from decades of outdoor exposure. Molded of durable fiber-reinforced cement, their classic minimalist form remains structurally sound with no cracks affecting their integrity. Makers mark identifies them as 1966 and 1968 production.
