This is a beautiful Raku pottery vase, hand thrown and signed by renowned artist Stephan Roy. Introduced to ceramics at the age of 12, he received several awards and scholarships for his art throughout his young life and continued his studies under some of the most famous potters. His work can be found in museums and galleries throughout North America, including the Smithsonian.
All of his work is hand-thrown and uses the ancient Japanese process of Raku, which gives this piece its metallic luster. Finished in colors of green and rust, it features a tribal duck on the top of the vase. Measuring 4.5"T x 7.5"W, it is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and comes from a non-smoking home.
