Oil on canvas, signed “Peres” and dated 2002, depicting a large female face constructed through stylized forms and geometricized color planes. The figure occupies practically the entire pictorial surface. The face is reduced to its essential elements: a half-closed blue eye, a curved eyebrow, a nose defined by vertical lines, and a mouth formed by bands of black, yellow, and turquoise. A large pink area diagonally crosses the face, creating contrast and simultaneously suggesting volume, shadow, and spatial division. The background is structured by black lines and horizontal and vertical bands in yellow, blue, white, red, and gray. The fragmentation of the face, the simplification of forms, and the use of different chromatic planes bring the composition closer to a contemporary and decorative interpretation of Cubism. The luminous palette, dominated by yellow, pink, and blue, gives the painting a strong visual presence. The brushstrokes remain visible and show variations in thickness and texture, reinforcing the manual and expressive character of the work. The painting is applied to canvas mounted on a wooden frame and is presented without a frame. On the back is the handwritten indication of the dimensions, “50 × 60”.
