Pair of decorative bookends, symmetrically composed, representing two cockatoos perched on stylized tree trunks. The birds and trunks are made of resin: the cockatoos have a translucent polychrome finish, simulating glass, in shades of green, amber, blue and brown; the supports have a textured and patinated finish, imitating tree trunks. Set on rectangular bases in slightly veined white marble. Pieces of European decorative production, possibly Italian, from the late 20th century, approximately 1980. No visible mark or signature. Dimensions of each piece: 28 × 12.5 × 10 cm. Quantity: two pieces, forming a pair. Condition: good general condition, slight wear of the patina and some dirt near the joints of the elements and the bases. See less
