This striking pair of gilt cloisonne enamel Qilin figures brings a bold, majestic presence to any interior. Qilin are mythical hooved creatures from traditional folklore, revered as symbols of protection, prosperity, and good fortune. Each figure is finely crafted with intricate wirework separating enamel cells in a rich palette of red, yellow, and white, depicting detailed scale patterns across their muscular bodies, accented by colorful floral medallions. The creatures feature elaborate, gilded manes, expressive faces with open mouths and bared teeth, and gilded flame-like tails, ears, and claws. The undersides bear a raised, square seal mark containing the characters "大清乾隆年製" (Made in the Great Qing Qianlong Period). This pair makes a distinguished addition to a collection of cloisonne or Asian decorative arts.
