This striking antique bronze sculpture depicts a standing ram, a traditional symbol of strength, prosperity, and filial piety. The figure is finely cast with a detailed head, curled horns, and a muscular body. The body and haunches are richly decorated with intricate, archaic-style relief patterns, including scrolling clouds, geometric key-fret borders, and stylized animal mask motifs. The bronze exhibits a deep, dark patina with extensive verdigris (green oxidation) throughout the recessed details, giving it a distinguished, excavated appearance. A hollow opening is visible on the underside, and an inscription is present on the body. This piece is a powerful representation of traditional metalwork and would make a captivating addition to any collection of antique bronzes or Asian artifacts.
