Measuring approximately 6'5" x 5'5", the tapestry has a substantial vertical format that allows the narrative scene to unfold with considerable detail. One woman is shown playing a long-necked string instrument while the second sits closely beside her with an open book resting across her lap. A small brown-and-white dog rests nearby, adding an intimate and charming element to the composition.
The figures are positioned within a lush garden filled with pink roses, flowering shrubs, mature trees, dense foliage, reeds, and waterside vegetation.
