18th century French Louis XVl style giltwood marriage mirror, c.1780
A good looking neoclassical mirror featuring a rectangular frame with fine geometric molded details. The top crest has leaf and ribbon design which flows over the top edges of the mirror. The central medallion has two doves and a quiver which symbolize fidelity and love. Hanging wire on rear. Note the old hand written label on the rear. Original mirror plate shows some age foxing. Good antique condition with age and use wear.
