We took inspiration from the shape of the Bolete mushroom and molded it into a table base. Creating depth and warmth, and an understated yet distinctive complement for any interior.

The Bolete Side Table comes in 2 sizes and a range of finishes. Combining strength with elegance, the new Clay finish stands out through its handcrafted finish. Its stone-like surface, which is applied by hand, creates a unique texture to each product. This completely organic finish, with its subtly irregular texture, catches the light softly. The finish is combined with a white fused glass top.

The Bolete’s core material is made from Mycelium Based Composite (MBC), an innovative organic material.

Mycelium is the underground network through which forests communicate. A branching web of threads that binds, nourishes, and renews. Combined with Hemp fibre, Mycelium grows into a material of surprising rigidity, warmth, and textural depth.

The manufacturing process, in the Netherlands, is as harmless to people and the environment as the material itself, being completey free of toxins or synthetics. And at the end of its life, each piece of MBC composts fully, returning to the same earth that made it.

The final product is a solid, dry, and inert product. It contains zero live biological agents, zero active spores, and no organic matter capable of regeneration. The product poses no phytosanitary or bio-security risk to the importing country. Imprinted by Maker See less
