Handcrafted around 1960, "Calypso" is a limited edition of 100 copies, and this is the 72nd.

René Fumeron was a French artist (1921-2004).
René Fumeron was a French cartoonist and painter, best known for his contribution to the revival of the art of tapestry in the 20th century. Born in 1921, he began working in the 1940s, creating cartoons for tapestries and collaborating with the famous Pinton ateliers in Aubusson, the historic center of French textile manufacturing.
Over the course of his career, he created over 500 cartoons for tapestries and received numerous public commissions, including participating in prestigious projects such as the interior decoration of the French ocean liner France in the 1960s. This piece has an attribution mark,
