Dating to the mid-20th century, this remarkable piece features a harmonious sculptural structure centered around a substantial polylobed brass drip tray. The tray, with its gently concave form, serves as a practical water collector while also providing an elegant decorative base. The lower section is cast in relief with vine leaves and clusters of grapes, from which rises a richly ornamented vertical support decorated in the round with the charming figure of a putto, scrolling foliage, and a serpent climbing upward as if wrapping itself around a tree trunk. The upper umbrella holder is formed entirely by gracefully intertwined snakes, creating six circular compartments designed to accommodate walking sticks and umbrellas. A beautifully shaped Art Nouveau-style handle allows the piece to be moved easily when needed. Both decorative and functional, this umbrella and cane stand combines refined craftsmanship with a striking sculptural presence, making it an exceptional addition to an entryway. The piece has been thoroughly cleaned and polished using a specialized product and is ready to enhance your home. See less
