An elegant vase by Émile Gallé, made in Nancy at the beginning of the 20th century, in polychrome multilayered glass with a vegetal decoration.

The piece has a slender, tapered silhouette, slightly bulging at the top, extending into a short, flared neck. It rests on a circular base that emphasizes its striking verticality.

The vegetal decoration unfolds across the entire vase in a rich harmony of yellow, orange, red, pink, and brown. The different layers of colored glass create a beautiful depth, while the decoration, etched with acid and then finished with a wheel, reveals raised plant motifs characteristic of Gallé's Art Nouveau production.

The signature, in relief, is integrated into the decoration.

This piece particularly illustrates the work of Émile Gallé (1846-1904), a major figure of the Nancy School and one of the great masters of French art glass. The glass treatment, warm hues, and botanical motifs give the vase a refined yet sculptural presence.
