The "Domino" cabinet designed by Arne Wahl Iversen in the early 1960s. Made of teak, it features two doors with distinctive carved circular handles and an internal shelf. The structure is supported by two U-shaped lateral bases.
The "Domino" teak cabinet, designed by Danish designer Arne Wahl Iversen in the early 1960s, is characterized by a compact and rigorous construction, in which a few carefully defined details define the design. The rectangular body is suspended on two U-shaped lateral supports, which visually continue the sides and lighten the structure, leaving the lower section free. The two doors maintain simple surfaces, interrupted only by the distinctive recessed and carved circular handles, arranged symmetrically at the center of the front. Inside, the storage space is organized by a shelf. This model perfectly expresses the artistic language of Wahl Iversen, a designer active in the era of Danish modernism and creator of furniture in which clarity of construction is often accompanied by recognizable wooden details. In the "Domino," the contrast between the geometric structure, the open bases, and the almost graphic design of the handles draws attention to the proportions and natural qualities of teak.
