Rare set of six glazed ceramic accessories designed by pino spagnolo for sicart in italy during the 1970s.
the collection combines vivid blue, yellow and red glazes with a variety of geometric forms conceived for organizing pens, stationery and small objects. The group includes two model 673 oblong lidded containers, a model 391 square pen holder, a model 388 circular lidded container, a yellow lidded container with rear suspension element and a red organizer featuring five individual compartments and an open front tray.
several pieces retain their original sicart model markings. The blue model 391 is particularly notable for retaining its original “sicart – designer spagnolo” label.
although conceived as functional accessories, the six objects form an exceptionally strong decorative ensemble when displayed together. Their elementary geometries, glossy ceramic surfaces and saturated colors embody the playful experimentation of italian design during the period.
very good vintage condition with signs consistent with age and use. The yellow model 673 has a small chip to the inner rim. The blue model 391 has a minor chip to the underside, discreet when displayed.
