This refined piece combines classical ornamentation with the craftsmanship and quality associated with mid-century French decorative arts.

The rectangular mirror is enclosed within a beautifully detailed wooden frame finished in gilt and cream-painted tones. Its most striking feature is the elaborate crest, composed of scrolling acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and a central classical urn surmounted by draped ribbons. The richly carved pediment creates an impressive architectural silhouette while lending the mirror a distinctly French character.

Fine beaded and engraved details surrounding the mirror plate further enhance the sophistication of the design, while the subtle patina of the gilded finish adds warmth and depth. Balancing decorative grandeur with elegant proportions, the mirror works beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Perfect above a console, mantelpiece, chest of drawers, or in an entrance hall, this mirror serves as both a practical and highly decorative focal point.

Good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. Minor wear consistent with age contributes to its authentic character.
