A mirror with a history, brimming with emotion! This beautiful 1900s wall mirror captivates from the start with its wooden frame covered in gilt stucco, richly carved with relief motifs: acanthus scrolls, blooming flowers, and generous volutes in the purest Baroque or Napoleon III style. The gilding, patinated by time, shows slight flaking in places, revealing the underlying wood: all authentic traces of a beautiful past. The mercury glass is adorned with tiny pits, adding that haunting, poetic charm that poetic souls adore!
The mirror is antique and dates from the 1900s. Numerous areas of missing stucco reveal the wooden frame. The glass has pitting in places.
Frame dimensions: 49cm x 59cm; back dimensions: 37.5cm x 47.5cm. Thickness: 2cm.
