A matched set of four late-19th-century Victorian Eastlake armchairs, American, circa 1880–1900. Each chair features a dark-stained hardwood frame with a turned-spindle back, scalloped carved crest rail centered by a medallion, pierced quatrefoil splat, shaped arms, turned legs joined by stretchers, and a hand-caned seat.
The original caning is intact on all four — no breaks or sagging — a difficult find in a matched set of this age. Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use: minor scuffs and finish softening, structurally sound, no repairs noted. All four sit level and are ready for everyday use.
Dimensions (each): 17.5” W × 17"D × "34.5H; seat height 18 "; arm height 20”.
