Glaze & Craftsmanship Details
The exterior features a beautifully smooth, high-gloss crimson glaze that exhibits wonderful variegated depth. Notably, the firing process has produced exceptional diagnostic features highly prized by collectors: a pale, naturally thinned "mushroom" rim along the top edge, and authentic localized green/turquoise copper reduction spots blooming near the base. The interior is finished in a smooth, functional matte light-tan glaze, which cleanly seals the vessel.
Condition & Base
The jar rests on a beautifully clean, unglazed, hand-turned stoneware foot rim revealing a rich earthy clay body. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or heavy scratching.
