Mid century Chippendale style secretary desk in a deep reddish-brown wood finish combines a slant-front writing desk with a glass-front bookcase. Two glazed doors have geometric muntins beneath a broken-arch pediment and turned finial. Three serpentine drawers feature ornate brass-tone bail pulls, and short cabriole legs end in ball-and-claw feet. The drop-front reveals pigeonholes, two small drawers and a central cupboard with turned columns and shell ornament, while two shelves divide the upper cabinet.
