This striking antique lacquerware box is finely modeled in the form of a crested eagle or bird, a traditional symbol of strength and vigilance. The piece is richly decorated with polychrome lacquer in a palette of gold, red, green, and blue, featuring a gilded body with intricately carved feather patterns and archaistic scroll motifs. The box separates into a lid and base, revealing a dark interior with a gilt inscription and multiple seal marks on the underside of the lid. The exterior exhibits a deep, aged patina with natural crackling in the lacquer, giving it a distinguished, historical character. This piece serves as both a functional container and a striking decorative object.
