The body is intricately detailed with overlapping, scale-like feathers in soft tones of cream, celadon, lavender, and grey, while the head features a dark greenish-black glaze with a red beak and white ring around the neck. The piece separates into a lid and base, revealing a pale turquoise interior. The interior of the lid is adorned with raised gilt calligraphy. The underside bears an impressed seal mark containing the characters "大清乾隆年製" (Made in the Great Qing Qianlong Period). This piece is a striking example of traditional porcelain craftsmanship and makes a beautiful decorative accent.
