A gentleman in a teal coat and patterned breeches stands with one hand raised, mid-phrase; a lady in crimson and yellow plays at an open piano with the music in front of her; a second lady in a flowered skirt sits with a cello across her knee. The group is modelled in the rococo taste with gilt detailing, applied porcelain roses scattered across the base, and a scrolled and gilt-edged plinth. It sits on a tiered metal base with a pierced gallery, and a slender twisted arm sweeps up and over to a single socket.

Condition: The gilding has rubbed along the edges of the porcelain plinth and across the raised scrollwork. Top of Cello is missing . The metal base has darkened and carries scattered marks and paint flecks underneath, and there is dust worked into the modelling. The three figures are otherwise crisply modelled and brightly painted, the applied roses are present, the piano and its music survive intact, and the lamp lights.

Electrical: the lamp was tested and lights. The socket and cord appear to be old and have not been assessed by an electrician. It is offered as a decorative object, and should be rewired before regular use. No shade or harp is included.

Measurements: 26 in overall. The porcelain group is 7 in high, 8 in long and 5 in deep. The metal base is 4 in high, 10 in long and 9 in wide. See less
