Antique Persian tribal rug from the Southwest province of Fars, hand-knotted by nomadic rug artisans of Khamseh confederation.
The rug features a classic elongated vertical layout with large, stacked diamond medallions running down the central field.
The deep navy and rust-colored diamonds are impacted with dense, angular geometric ornaments, stylized hooks, tiny rosettes. and classic nomadic protective symbols, characteristic of nomadic weaving heritage.
The rug is framed within a complex multi band geometric border, displaying contrasting ivory, terracotta, and indigo backgrounds decorated with continuous diamond- and-latch hook chain links.
