The pattern gives the classic French form a graphic, architectural edge you rarely see in this style.

The apron on each side has a hand-finished pierced shell cartouche flanked by scrolling acanthus. The cabriole legs are carved with leaf motifs at the knees and end in scrolled toes. The warm walnut-toned finish has a hand-applied distressed glaze that gives the piece depth and an old-world patina.

Exact age, brand, and origin are unknown. The construction and quality point to 1970's construction in the US by a quality brand like Century or Drexel, though no tag is present to confirm. See less
