The dramatic design pairs a low, broad spherical body with a long slender neck and an exaggerated inverted-cone stopper. The proportions are quintessential Myers: deceptively simple, sculptural, and distinctly modern.

Introduced in 1966, the 6615L was produced for only two years, 1966–1967. This Peacock example represents an even narrower production window. Peacock's original mid-century Blenko production ran from 1965–1966, meaning 1966 was the only year in which the 6615L was produced in Peacock.

The substantial hand-blown glass beautifully demonstrates the character of Peacock, shifting from luminous blue-green through the thinner areas to deep, almost inky teal where the glass is most concentrated. The oversized original stopper creates the same tonal variation and provides the dramatic finishing element to Myers' design.

Joel Philip Myers served as Blenko's design director during the 1960s and was instrumental in developing some of the company's most adventurous and collectible mid-century forms and colors.

This example is complete with its original fitted ground-glass stopper and is in exceptional vintage condition. No chips, cracks, cloudiness, or repairs observed. The remarkably clean condition and survival of the original stopper make this an especially appealing example of an already difficult-to-find Myers design.
