A stunning, authentic turn-of-the-century Victorian parlor plant stand or accent table. Crafted by the historic National Brass and Iron Works (NB & IW stamped on the bottom) of Reading, Pennsylvania (operating 1891–1911), this piece features the definitive crisp factory hallmark stamped into the lower openwork tier.
An exceptional example of Aesthetic Movement and Renaissance Revival design, it displays fluid, organically curved legs capped with highly detailed stylized dragon heads at the upper terminals. The frame features an intricate pierced filigree layout, a lower spiderweb accent shelf, and splayed organic feet.
The inset square table surface features its beautiful, original natural onyx stone slab displaying a creamy, deep translucent character. Constructed of heavy-gauge cast iron with an authentic dark, rich historic patina, this timeless accent brings historic depth to any room.
