A beautiful pair of authentic Model No. 65 armchairs designed by Niels Otto Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark. An iconic example of Danish and Scandinavian Modern design, the Model 65 features a sculptural hardwood frame, gently curved backrest, slender tapered legs, and elegantly shaped arms.
The warm wood frames are paired with black upholstered seats and backrests, creating a handsome contrast while emphasizing the chairs’ graceful, streamlined profiles. Møller’s exceptional craftsmanship is evident in the fluid transitions between the arms, back supports, and legs—a refined example of mid-century Danish furniture design.
Both chairs retain their J.L. Møller Models / Made in Denmark manufacturer’s labels.
Condition: Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The wood frames show slight sun fading, along with minor surface wear, scuffs, and variations to the finish. The black upholstery shows light wear, surface marks, and scattered small spots, as pictured. Both chairs are structurally sound and present beautifully overall. Please review all photographs closely for condition.
