Each sconce is formed from an elongated rectangular panel of substantial clear glass with softly rounded corners. The surface is worked with closely spaced horizontal ribbing, creating a remarkable sense of depth and movement as the linear texture refracts and diffuses the light. The heavy glass has an almost architectural quality, while subtle irregularities within the surface emphasize its handcrafted character.

A slender, elongated brass element runs vertically through the center of each sconce, providing an elegant counterpoint to the horizontal rhythm of the glass. The warm golden tone of the brass beautifully contrasts with the clarity and luminosity of the Murano glass, giving the fixtures a refined jewel-like presence both illuminated and unlit.

The combination of ribbed Murano art glass, sculptural relief and brass detailing gives these wall lights a distinctly Italian Mid-Century Modern character, while their restrained geometry allows them to work beautifully in contemporary interiors.

An elegant pair of decorative Italian sconces, ideal for flanking a mirror, console or fireplace, or installed in an entry hall, living room, dining room or bedroom.

These sconces have been newly wired to fit US standards. The photos accurately depict the condition. See less
