This finely hand-painted porcelain plate features a classic blue and white decoration, rendered in underglaze blue on a white ground. The central scene depicts a serene landscape with a fisherman and a companion seated on a boat beneath a large weeping willow tree, with a pavilion and mountainous terrain in the background. The brushwork is expressive and detailed. The underside of the plate is undecorated except for a series of blue stylized marks and an unglazed, fired base. This piece is a striking example of traditional porcelain craftsmanship and makes a beautiful decorative accent or addition to a collection.
