Traditionally used in general stores or homes to organize spools of thread for sewing. It’s quite charming with its porcelain knobs and original lock plates. The locks have a crown and letters VT along with the words Secure Patent. One key opening has been filled in but it still shows well and is a lovely piece. Wonderful for display or to use for all types of storage – sewing, keepsakes, keys, jewelry, office or notions, etc. Could also be nice to use as part of a coffee bar.

The chest is solid wood, well made and in good, sturdy condition with a heavy weight. There are some imperfections, a small burn mark and some wear, but overall it shows nicely and is in ready to use condition. The drawers open easily and are completely removable.

This would be a lovely authentic piece to incorporate into your home decor. It has a great patina and displays nicely - a sweet conversation piece.
