The piece depicts two small white cottages with red roofs on a rolling green hillside next to a tranquil blue body of water. The paint displays a fine, visible network of age-appropriate crackle across vibrant shades of blue and green that shift with light exposure. The canvas is housed in a simple, dark brown walnut wood frame. The frame retains historical interest with fragments of old advertising text from Boston, Massachusetts. Excellent piece of old folk art Americana.
