Unique and charming Haviland/Limoges sugar and creamer set originally sold by Macy’s. This set features a very traditional pattern on a “thoroughly modern” mid-century silhouette. The transferware pattern is applied to an ivory China base, and features traditional rose sprays in various shades of pink with dark green leaves. The front of each piece is also decorated with a bouquet of flowers. The pattern has a European country feel, and the bold geometric silhouette refers to the burgeoning mid-century style as well as the art deco movement of previous decades.
Condition: This set is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or damage other than a small nick on the bottom. The floral decoration is clear and crisp. There is some wear to the gold trim as well as signs of use on the bottom, so please review the photos. Each piece is clearly marked with the Haviland and Limoges decorator and manufacture marks, as well as the Macy’s trademark.
