The platter features scalloped edges with an embossed scroll on a molded rim. The pattern is a delicate blue floral garland and vine design joined by fine lines and scrolls. The platter is a clean, crisp white; the pattern is in a soft, lighter blue (would pair well with the Brittany Cow I have listed).

From MItterteich Bavaria (1887 - 2006), the logo predates later additions and embellishments. This platter is probably from the 1920s to 1950s. This particular pattern and the larger platter size (12-1/2" x 8-3/8") are very scarce, if not rare.

I have been collecting blue & white plates for 20+ years, most of them coming from a source in Europe (back when the postage was still affordable). I'm very picky about condition and quality, and he never disappointed.

Somewhere along the way, I decided to use only plates and platters with horses, so the others I had been collecting are no longer needed. This is one of the 20+ plates and platters for sale -- be sure to look at my other listings if you're a blue & white fan, as I am

In excellent- pristine vintage condition (see condition notes). See less
