A signed 1978 serigraph monoprint by E.T. Gipson, marked 1/1. The minimalist composition features a pale circular form suspended above horizontal bands of ochre, rust, burgundy and deep brown. Signed and dated “Gipson ’78” in pencil at lower right.
The original biographical label remains attached to the reverse. It identifies Gipson as a Texas-born, self-taught silkscreen artist who later worked in San Francisco’s North Beach, describing his approach as “innovative serigraphy.”
Presented under glass in a slim gold-tone metal frame with a wide cream mat and gold accent border. Original Foliograph gallery and framing labels from Washington, D.C., and McLean, Virginia, remain on the reverse.
Framed dimensions: 19.5 inches wide × 24 inches high × approximately 1 inch deep.
