A refined and imposing Italian-made centerpiece desk from the 1940s, characterized by the flowing lines and sculptural volumes typical of the late Art Deco/early 20th-century style.
The structure features a rectangular top with rounded corners and an integrated protective glass insert, beneath which lies a spacious central drawer.
The base is composed of two side compartments with curved doors: one compartment houses a series of internal drawers, while the other offers practical shelf space. Thanks to the complete and meticulous finish on all sides, this piece is perfect for placing in the center of a room.
The piece is in good vintage condition, solid and structurally intact, with no cracks or missing parts.
It features its original period patina with minor signs of wear, small surface scratches, and imperfections on the wood and hinges/hardware, perfectly consistent with its age and use.
It only needs a light conservative restoration on the hardware and drawer mechanisms for perfect sliding and shine.
