"Moduline" armchair designed by Torben Lind and Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen and produced by France & Søn in the 1960s. Oak frame and cushions upholstered in the original gray fabric, with button-tufted detailing. Original branding present.
Designed by Torben Lind and Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen, the "Moduline" armchair was produced by the Danish manufacturer France & Søn in the 1960s. The design combines a simple oak frame with large padded cushions, visually separating the supporting structure from the softer seat.
The exposed frame is constructed according to a rigorously geometric design, while the seat and backrest feature characteristic button-tufted detailing. The gray fabric upholstery is original from the period and thus retains the materiality and character of the original production.
A representative example of 1960s Danish design, in which the clarity of the wooden structure is combined with a particular attention to proportions and comfort.
Good vintage condition. The original fabric shows signs of wear consistent with age and use, particularly visible on some of the seat buttons. Other minor signs of aging may be present. Please refer to the photographs carefully. This piece has an attribution mark,
