A pair of French Art Deco hand-colored pochoir fashion plates from Les Idées Nouvelles de la Mode, circa 1920s.
One plate presents a collection of hats and headwear, with annotations naming milliners including Agnès, Esther Meyer and Jane Blanchot. The second depicts lingerie, lace-trimmed garments and boudoir accessories and bears the illustrator’s signature “J. Dory” within the composition.
Fine black linework is accented with hand-applied white, pink and pale yellow color on delicate translucent paper with a warm tan-brown appearance. Both retain their French captions and publication markings: No. 4, Plate 3 and No. 4, Plate 13.
Offered together unframed. Each sheet measures approximately 8.5 inches wide by 11.5 inches high. Paper backing remains attached along the upper edge.
The sheets show uneven toning, rippling and creases, scattered surface marks, and small edge tears and losses. Please review the photographs for condition details.
