Striking original Mather & Company work-incentive poster dating to 1929, featuring the slogan “Many Heads Beat One — It’s easier to ask and do it right, than to guess and do it wrong. Let Others Help You Succeed.”
Produced by Mather & Company of Chicago, these early 20th-century workplace posters were designed to promote productivity, cooperation, safety, and good business habits through bold graphics and memorable messages. This example is identified as No. 45 and retains the original printed copyright information along the lower margin: Copyrighted 1929, Mather & Company, Chicago, Illinois. Printed in U.S.A.
The graphic is particularly appealing, with a vivid yellow ground, stylized figures in muted purple and green, and strong red typography. The oversized scale gives it substantial visual presence and makes it equally suitable for a home office, library, commercial interior, or collection of vintage advertising and industrial design.
The poster is professionally framed in a simple black frame and protected with Tru Vue Museum Glass, a premium conservation glazing chosen for its excellent clarity, reduced reflections, and UV protection.

The poster displays scattered age-related spotting, surface marks, and light discoloration, most visible within the yellow field and along portions of the margins. These characteristics are visible in the photographs and are consistent with a paper work approaching 100 years old. Colors remain strong and the imagery presents very well overall. The poster is professionally framed under Tru Vue Museum Glass. Frame shows minor surface wear consistent with normal handling and display. Not examined out of frame. Please review all photographs closely as they form part of the condition description. less
