The rectangular tops are covered in narrow glass mosaic tiles arranged in staggered rows. Designed as versatile pieces for living areas, the tables draw inspiration from the calming effect of water and mosaic artistry, adding both practical surface space and a vibrant focal point to an interior setting. The palette moves through cerulean, dark blue, lighter blue, turquoise, teal, blue-green, and occasional green tones, with darker accent tiles throughout. Variations in color, mottling, and reflectivity add depth and movement as the light changes.

Each tabletop is edged in dark metal and supported by an open decorative metal base. Broad intersecting curves create elongated oval forms along the sides, while curled scroll feet and smaller scroll details give the tables a graceful architectural profile. The smaller table nests beneath the larger when not in use, allowing the pair to function together or separately as side, drink, or accent tables.

For scale, the larger table measures 19¾ inches wide by 16 inches deep and stands 25 inches tall. The smaller table is about 16 inches wide, 13 inches deep, and 23½ inches high, so it can tuck neatly beneath the larger table or stand on its own.

Pier 1 featured this design in its Summer 2014 Furniture Guide as the Cerulean Mosaic Nesting Tables (Item 2678259). According to the catalog, the tables are made from metal, wood, and glass, were manufactured in India, and originally retailed for $259.95.

The current owner purchased the tables new from Pier 1 Imports around 2014, and they have remained with the original owner since purchase.
