This exquisite gilt bronze incense burner features a finely cast guardian lion seated atop a double-layered lotus pedestal. The lion is depicted with a fierce, open-mouthed expression, a detailed curly mane, and a muscular body adorned with a decorative collar and tassels. The removable lotus base is designed to hold incense, with a small opening at the top for smoke to escape. The underside of the base bears a raised, square seal mark containing the characters "宣德年製" (Made in the Xuande Period). This piece serves as both a functional incense burner and a striking decorative object, symbolizing protection and wealth.
