An expressive early 1960s mixed media portrait by listed artist Michael A. McClure. Created using watercolor and precisely cut and layered paper, the composition depicts a stylized female figure rendered in bold geometric planes of color.
Rich shades of purple, orange, green, ochre and black give the portrait a distinctly Mid Century character. The work is signed Michael A. McClure at the lower right and presented in a simple black wood frame accented with an inset gold fillet.
