A handsome vintage bergère lounge chair by Century Furniture, featuring classic French-inspired styling and a beautifully shaped exposed wood frame.
The chair has an elegant serpentine crest, gently curved open arms, carved detailing, cabriole legs, and a shaped apron. Its generous proportions make it especially comfortable and substantial, with a wide seat and deep cushion.
The chair retains its existing red, cream, and muted green checked stripe upholstery, including an upholstered loose back cushion, seat cushion, padded armrests, and upholstered back panel. The upholstery gives the piece a traditional country-house character and remains suitable for use as-is, while also making this an excellent candidate for custom reupholstery.
The warm-toned wood frame displays attractive age and patina throughout, with scattered surface wear consistent with vintage use.
