A beautiful antique 31-piece Landers, Frary & Clark / Aetna Works mother-of-pearl handled flatware set with sterling silver components. This partial dessert, fruit, and luncheon service features luminous mother-of-pearl handles, sterling silver collars and ferrules, sterling fork heads, and sterling pointed fruit or dessert knife blades. The rounded-tip knife blades and small spreader blade are stainless steel.
The set has excellent decorative appeal for an antique dining table, holiday service, styled bar or dessert course, cabinet display, or collected tablescape. The combination of pearl handles and bright silver-tone metal gives the service a refined late-19th-century presence, while the mixed composition makes it especially appealing for table styling, entertaining, collecting, or display.
Included are 31 total pieces: 9 rounded-tip knives, 11 pointed fruit/dessert knives, 10 forks, and 1 small knife/spreader. This is a partial/mixed antique service rather than a complete matched place setting.
