The paintings follow the classical traditions of the Ming (1368-1444) or Qing (1644-1912) Dynasties. They feature dramatic, twisted mountain peaks, clusters of pavilions embedded along waterfalls, and precise pine-needle brushwork typical of scholar-amateur painters of those eras.
While composed in an ancient style, the condition of the silk, the specific vibrancy of the ink tones, and the decorative faux-bamboo gilt wood
frames indicate that these are 20th-century high quality vintage works rather than a museum-grade antiquity from preceding centuries.
Nonetheless, they are beautifully executed and finished in lovely carved faux bamboo gilt wood frames. See less
