This is a highly detailed image of a fisherman Introducing one of his young sailors to his daughter. The tray is antique with the base made later, so that the tray could serve as coffee table top. During the late 1800s, Helgoland was a prominent tourist destination and a major geopolitical focal point in the North Sea (ceded from Great Britain to Germany in 1890). Wear and some ring marks.
