The tall, narrow door features rows of iron straps with raised studs, a substantial central locking plate, and vertical iron reinforcement. Generations of exposure and use have softened the pine to a beautifully weathered gray-brown surface.

Originally designed as an exterior gate, used as the main entry through the walled protection of a traditional style Siheyuan compound. C. 1900. Today, it is particularly well suited as a sliding interior door, wall-mounted architectural element, or dramatic focal point in an entryway. The restrained palette and rugged texture work beautifully in Santa Fe, mountain modern, rustic, industrial, or contemporary interiors.

Because these are antique architectural elements, installation requirements may vary depending on the intended use. We recommend consulting with a qualified builder, contractor, or architect to determine the best method for installation and appropriate hardware.

This item will arrive Santa Fe in mid-October '26.
