The painting is done on a canvas hard-board panel with some nice texture in the oil paint. The frame is a vintage frame with an ornate carved style, the color is a bone white (not a bright white). Please know that the frame is old and there is distressing on the painted wood and also on the inner gold leaf border. This gives the frame an interesting patina and character. The overall size of the piece is 12"x14" with the inner painting at 8"x10". Wired and ready to hang, signed on the back. This is a great size for a bookshelf. Original painting by Suzanne Nicoll.
