The sculptural urn-form body is constructed as an open metal cage embellished with numerous faceted crystal prisms, creating beautiful reflections when illuminated. Scrolled handles, classical detailing and the richly aged metallic finish give the lamp an elegant, almost jewel-like quality.
The original oversized shaped shade is particularly striking, with softly curved silk panels framed at the top and bottom by coordinating pierced metal galleries. A faceted crystal finial completes the design. The elaborate shade is an integral part of the original composition and gives the lamp its dramatic architectural silhouette.
Fine Art Lamps, based in Miami Lakes, Florida, is known for highly decorative handcrafted luxury lighting. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is one of the company's most recognizable collections, combining hand-finished metalwork with crystal ornamentation and romantic, Old World-inspired forms.
A beautiful statement lamp with exceptional scale, craftsmanship and presence.
Condition: Very good pre-owned condition with age-appropriate wear. The metal retains its original intentionally aged/patinated finish. The original fabric shade shows several small areas of discoloration/spotting and some minor wear and fraying along the trim, all photographed in detail. Crystal elements appear beautifully preserved. Lamp is in working condition. Please review all photographs as part of the condition description.
