Rendered entirely in luminous white glazed porcelain, the figure is seated in quiet repose with a gently lowered gaze, elaborate headdress, beaded necklace, and beautifully modeled folds cascading through her robes.

The monochromatic palette puts the emphasis on form and sculptural detail, giving the piece a particularly elegant presence. At ten inches high, it is substantial enough to stand alone on a console or chest yet restrained enough to layer into a library bookshelf, mantel arrangement, or collection of blue-and-white porcelain. The crisp white glaze is especially handsome against aged wood, lacquer, or richly patterned textiles.

A timeless decorative object for interiors that mix Chinoiserie and Asian influences with traditional English, French, or coastal furnishings.
